Activated Carbon

Overview

Activated Carbon is a black porous solid carbon.

The main component is carbon which contains a small amount of oxygen, hydrogen, sulfur, nitrogen, chlorine, and other elements.
Because of the irregular arrangement of microcrystalline carbon in the structure of activated carbon, there are pores between the cross-connections.
Carbon organization defects will be generated during activation.

Activated Carbon

It is a porous carbon with low bulk density and a large specific surface area.
The surface area of ordinary activated carbon is between 500 and 1700m2/g and has strong adsorption performance.
In water treatment, it performs as an industrial adsorbent.
